David Stone enlisted 13 Aug 1862 at Fairview, IL (Fulton County) and was assigned to Company G of the 103rd Illinois Infantry. he was wounded at the battle of Griswoldville, GA on 22 Nov 1864 and was discharged 21 Jun 1865 at Louisville, KY with the rank of Corporal.
